Can Phil Ivey Win His First WPT Title Today?

Author: Texas Hold Em
Phil Ivey already had five World Series of Poker bracelets, but the World Poker Tour title slips him out. Tonight, at Mirage Poker Showdown in Las Vegas, he has a big chance of winning it as he is a chip leader. This is his seventh WPT final table appearance and the closest title was in the 2003 Championship when he finished in second place after David "Devilfish" Ulliott.

Ivey is going into the final table today with 1,395,000 in chips. Right behind him is the Canadian Cory Carrol with 1,235,000 in chips. Not so far is Darrell Dicken with 1,203,000 in chips, who is making his second WPT final table appearance. The show is starting exactly at 5 pm.
