The player who have most points in the WSOP events will take the title Player of the Year. This is not just a title - it's the first ever Player of the Year title. Whoever win it, will gain big bonuses and privileges. This announcement was made two days ago by the WSOP commissioner Jeffrey Pollack.

So now everything is very simple - more points means that you are closer to the title. Points can be collected by finishing in money places in the bracelet events (without HORSE championship and the Main Event throughout the 2007 series). More about the privileges - entry to multiple WSOP tournaments in the next year, $5,000 for travel and accommodation, buy-ins for the Main Events at the WSOP Europe, WSOP circuit event and the 2008 World Series.
