We Have A New Youngest Bracelet Winner
Author: Texas Hold Em
This is Steve Billirakis, whose win in Event 1 of the 2007 World Series of Poker, gave him the title of the youngest bracelet winner ever. He was only 21 years and 11 days old at the time of his win in the $5,000 World Champions Mixed Hold'em event, beating Jeff Madsen's record from last year, when he was 21 years, one month and nine days old when he won his first bracelet. Billirakis is thinking of playing in several more tournaments, so he can also become youngest two-time winner. (which tittle belongs to Madsen again).
It wasn't easy for Steve Billirakis at the final table against Greg Mueller. At one point of the game Mueller had a big chip lead. But everything turned into 180 degrees, and Billirakis took $536,287.
Steve Billirakis $536,287
Greg Mueller $328,554
Tony George $218,329 [back] |
