Action- This means an opportunity to act;

Blind Game - This is an online poker game which utilizes a blind;

Bluff - To raise as if you have a good hand hoping that the opponents fold;

Buy - To bet or raise, hoping to make players between you and the button fold, thus allowing you to act last on subsequent betting rounds;

Capping a Raise - This is the final or the third raise in most games;

Check Raise - This means to check and then raise when a player behind you bets. It is an important online texas hold em poker tactic;

Color Change - If you want to change the chips from one denomination to another;

Crying Call - A call made on a weak hand usually made with reluctance;

Deck - This is a set of playing cards. In Texas Holdem Poker games the table consists 52 cards;

Dominated Hand - A hand that will almost always lose to a better hand that people usually play;

Expectation - If you make a certain play a term referring to the amount of you expect to gain on average;

Family Pot - This is the pot in which all of the poker players call before the flop;

Forced Bet - The bet that a player has no choice but to make;

Fouled Hand - A dead hand in poker game;

Holdem - This is a most popular game played online where each player receives 2 pocket cards and tries to make the best hand using these 2 cards and 5 community cards dealt to the table.

Inside Straight Draw - Also called belly-buster straight draw gut shot straight draw;

Limit Games can be played with either a set limit to the amount any texas hold'em poker player can bet per round, or in the case of No Limit a player can bet everything in one game.

Live Blind - The live means those poker players still have the option of raising when the action gets back around to them. A forced bet put in by one or more online poker players before any cards are dealt;

Maniac - This is a poker player who plays ultra-aggressively, making big bets on poor cards, throwing his money around in the hopes of winning by bluffing and intimidation. He is one of the most difficult players to play against;

Missed Blind - When it is your turn to do a required bet that is not posted.

Overcard- The card that is higher than any card on the board;

Pass - Decline to call a wager, at which point you must discard your hand and have no further interest in the pot;

Pocket Rockets - Refers to holding two Aces as your private, pocket cards. Also known as American Airlines;

Rake - This is the commission the house takes from every pot. The rake can be set dollar amounts or a percentage of the pot;

Scare Card - A card which may well turn the best hand into trash;

Set - Situation when there is a three of a kind when you have two of the rank in your hand, and there is one on the board;

Slow Play - This means to play a strong hand weakly so more players will stay in the pot;

Three of a Kind - When the player has three cards of the same value;

White - White is the color for $1 chips in most poker games;
